The Pre-Admission Agent
Replace paper intake with structured digital pre-admission. The Pre-Admission Agent guides patients through forms, IDs, consent, fasting instructions, and payment — writing structured data back to your EMR.
Humans for care. AI for everything else.

What it does
How the Pre-Admission Agent works.
Every day-of-procedure delay traces back to one of a handful of intake failures: patient didn't bring an ID, didn't fast, didn't sign consent, didn't pay the deposit, didn't understand the preparation instructions. The Pre-Admission Agent fixes each of those in the days before the procedure.
It walks the patient through everything they need to complete: ID photo upload, insurance verification, medical history questionnaire, procedure-specific consent, fasting instructions (with reminders on the night before), pre-payment or deposit, and personalized preparation guidance. Every response writes straight to the EMR as structured data, not scanned paper.
For hospitals with complex intake — bariatric, cardiac, oncology, surgical — the workflow branches based on procedure type. The patient's day-of experience shifts from a 45-minute paperwork queue to walking straight to the pre-op area.

FAQ
Common questions about the Pre-Admission Agent.
Does intake data write directly to the EMR?
Yes. Every field, form, and uploaded document writes back to the EMR as structured data via API — not scanned paper. The night before the procedure, the EMR record is populated with everything staff would normally collect at the front desk.
How does it handle procedure-specific requirements?
Each procedure type has its own branched intake flow — cardiac catheterization requires different consent, prep, and history questions than cataract surgery. The agent picks the right branch based on the scheduled procedure code from the EMR.
What about patients who don't complete the intake?
Incomplete intakes escalate to your admissions staff 48 hours before the procedure with the specific gap flagged ("missing consent", "no ID uploaded", "insurance not verified"). Staff can then call or reach out via chat.
Can we require pre-payment before the procedure?
Yes. The Pre-Admission Agent integrates with your payment gateway to collect deposits or full pre-payment as a required step in the intake flow. Procedures don't proceed to day-of confirmation without payment being verified.
Is patient data secure during intake?
Yes. All data in transit uses TLS 1.3, at rest is encrypted with AES-256, and per-hospital data residency is enforced. Bot MD is ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and SOC 2 certified. Full posture at /security.
